TERAKON – Research and Consulting provides a range of specially combined services in order to fulfill the very specific need and role of each of our clients. We have worked with both, the public and private sectors, including large and small companies, government agencies and NGOs in order to improve the environment.

Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (EIA/ESIA)

Environmental Impact Assessment is the assessment of the environmental consequences of a plan, policy, program, or actual project prior to the decision to move forward with the proposed action. Environmental and Social Impact Assessments are a crucial part of obtaining an Environmental Permit in FBiH. TERAKON prepares documents i.e. activity plans and environmental studies which serve as a prerequisite for the Environmental Permit. Through our experience, we gained extensive knowledge in the preparation of these documents.

Also, TERAKON prepares documentation that is necessary for the implementation of projects financed by the European and world banks/financiers (Environmental and Social Management Plans – ESMP, ESMP Implementation Plan, Abbreviated Resettlement Action Plan – ARAP etc.)

Environmental and Social Supervision

Waste Management

Waste management is one of the main branches here at TERAKON. In this field we offer four types of service:

  • Waste intermediation and trade. We are specialized in the intermediation of industrial waste, offering valuable support in order to dispose or recover waste permanently.
  • Preparation of Waste Management Plans for companies and government organizations;
  • Consultancy for companies in the field of efficient waste management through the implementation of local and international laws;
  • Transboundary movement of the waste in accordance with European directives and local laws which includes all procedural and logistical services. We work on transboundary shipping of waste in cooperation with incineration plants, recovery plants, and landfills. During this process we provide support for the customer, starting from processing and preparing the documentation for obtaining the necessary notification, following through shipment tracking and management, and ending at the point of obtaining the certificate of final disposal or recovery of the waste.

Feasibility Studies

A feasibility study is an analysis used in measuring the ability and likelihood to successfully complete a project including all relevant factors. Feasibility Study is essential and perquisite for obtaining financial means from different funds, banks and donors.

Our experts prepare every single study through a modern approach using BATs in analysis of current data and further development of your project. This way we determine potential positive and negative outcomes of your project before start investing a considerable amount of time and money into it.

Regulatory Compliance

Our legal experts have extensive knowledge of local and international laws mainly in the field of Environmental Protection, Waste Management and transport. We provide advice and consultations relating to enforcement of regulatory frame in fields of Environmental protection and Waste management.

Here at TERAKON we see a larger picture to any project. Preparation of Master Plans is a way for client to see it as well.
Our Master Plans will give you a clear picture and basis on which you can build your vision in accordance with investments and development dynamics.

Designing and conducting surveys, and analysing and interpreting results

Through our work we had need to design and conduct a large number of surveys. Result is over 20 different surveys for various projects in the field of Environmental Protection, Waste Management, social projects, construction projects etc.
